The flapper dress had a comeback a few seasons ago and now the fringe detail is trying to work it’s way up to the urban street style industry. The original fringe detail on a flapper dress, I think, it’s a bit fancy and quixotic for today’s uncouthness. I’ve seen it around the web and stores, but haven’t really seen people flaunt it. I love love love fringe necklaces and other accessories. I also like small fringe details on clothes, but not too much.
It’s hard to find dresses with fringe that really works. I found one at freepeople that I fell in love with.
These are also great from shopbob.com

A long time ago, I bought a really nice black silky shinny fabric. I made a skirt out of it and realize it looks more like a garbage bag than something wearable. I will not wear it as is until I sweeten it up a little. When I do, and if I have time, I will post it up.
I also bought 3 yards of really nice brocade and turn it into a one piece, form fitting dress. I’m not done with it yet; linning needs to be cut out and attach, but it reminds me too much of curtains or rugs. I sorta regret buying the fabric hence a yard of it cost me enough to get a shirt. I am my worst critic; it is the reason I never get any of my project done.
